In Get Chopped, you are slicing paper with a guillotine at your office job, daydreaming about the toys on your desk battling. Created for the 78th Godot Wild Jam, all of the sounds in this project were recorded and synthesized within 24 hours. They were produced in Ableton Live, using a mixture of foley recorded on the day using a zoom H1n and Synthesis within the DAW. These sounds were then implemented into the project using FMOD.
Florescence is a cozy game in which players collect flowers and make bouquets to help restless spirits move on. Created for my graduate project, in which I was the Sound Designer, Composer, and primary 3D/Technical artist. The sounds of Florescence were recorded using a zoom H1n and processed in Ableton Live, before being implemented into the project using FMOD.
I was the Sound Designer and Composer for Tunnel Visions, an animated short about overcoming anxiety and making peace with your inner child, set on a train. To meet the anxiety felt by the character the sound design had to build in intensity, creating a wall of noise. In the above clip the sounds of the crowd and the train as it screeches to a stop are layered, ramping the intensity up until the moment the main character sees the child.
In Guts and Fibre the player defuses bombs and engages in conversation by the water cooler, slowly piecing together what this job is, and where they are. It is eventually revealed that the player is a robot, this choice motivated all of the choice to synthesize all of the sounds using the Bastl Instruments Soft Pop 2 synthesizer. The only exception to this are the voices in the game, which I recorded, before heavily processing and distorting in the DAW.
